FTEE is an open access journal which means that all content is freely available online without charge to the user or his/her institution. Users are allowed to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of the articles, or use them for any other lawful purpose, without asking prior permission from the publisher or the author. The only constraint on reproduction and distribution is to give authors the right to be properly acknowledged and cited. This is in accordance with the BOAI definition of open access.

By signing Copyright Transfer Agreement, the authors transfer to the Publisher, and the Publisher takes over the rights of ownership to the article, in accordance with author’s law of the Republic of Poland. Authors retain the rights to:
- oral presentation of the information contained in the article to any forum;
- downloading, printing, coping the article published in FTEE journal or any fragments of it for the personal use, connected with teaching;
- linking to full texts of the article, distributing, re-using the published article in compilations of their own publications, on condition that a reference is made to the article already published in FTEE journal;
- using the article for any other lawful purposes.
Copyright Transfer Agreement must be signed and returned to our Editorial Office by post or e-mail as soon as possible. By signing this agreement, the authors warrant that the entire work is original and unpublished, it is submitted only to this Journal and all the text, data, Figures and Tables included in this work are original and unpublished, and have not been previously published or submitted elsewhere in any form. Please note that the reviewing process starts as soon as we receive this document. In case when the paper has already been presented at a conference, it can be published in our journal only if it has not been published in a generally available conference materials (it is necessary to give an appropriate statement placed in Editorial Notes at the end of the article).
3. Plagiarism Prevention Policy
We only accept articles that are an original composition, which contain no defamatory content and do not violate any author’s rights or patent laws of other persons, which have not been already published or submitted for publication in any other place. We actively check the manuscripts submitted by screening them for plagiarism using plagiat.pl detection service.
FTEE journal follows a strict Publication Ethics Policy and is committed to protect the integrity of the academic record and feels its duty to help and support the scientific community in all aspects of research and publishing ethics. We encourage authors to refer to the Committee on Publication Ethics’ (COPE) International Standards for Authors and view the Publication Ethics and Malpractice Statement page.
Contents published in FIBRES & TEXTILES in Eastern Europe journal are archived in The National Digital Library POLONA to guarantee long-term digital preservation.
All submitted manuscripts considered suitable for FIBRES & TEXTILES in Eastern Europe journal are subjected to a rigorous peer-review process in order to ensure that all published articles are of the highest quality.
The reviewing procedure for the journal is in accordance with the guidelines of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education and can be presented as follows:
6.1. Each paper submitted for publication is reviewed by at least two independent reviewers working in an institution different than the authors’ affiliation. The identity of the author/authors is concealed from the reviewers and vice versa (double-blind review). In case of controversial opinions of the reviewers, more reviewers are selected.
6.2. A written review includes a clear conclusion of the article reviewed, concerning the conditions which must be fulfilled in order to publish the article in FIBRES & TEXTILES in Eastern Europe journal or a statement rejecting the article.
6.3. Corresponding author receives a set of reviews and next, following the reviewing procedure, is obliged to correct the paper according to the reviewers’ remarks or express his/her own opinion in writing.
6.4. Corrected article and authors’ attitude are checked by the Editors or by the same reviewers, in case of any doubts. The final decision regarding the publication of the article is taken by the Editor-in-Chief or, in extraordinary cases, by the Chairman of the Scientific Board. The authors are informed about the decision by e-mail.
6.5. The identity of the reviewers of the particular articles is not given to public information. Reviewing questionnaire.
Authors in FTEE Journal must fulfill the following criteria

Each author is expected to have made substantial contributions to the conception or design of the work;

or the acquisition, analysis, or interpretation of data;

or creation of new software used in the work;
-
or have drafted the work or substantially revised it;

and has approved the submitted version (and any substantially modified version that involves the author’s contribution to the study;

and agrees to be personally accountable for the author’s own contributions and for ensuring that questions related to the accuracy or integrity of any part of the work, even ones in which the author was not personally involved, are appropriately investigated, resolved, and documented in the literature.
Exclusion from authorship of individuals who have made author-level contributions is not permitted, nor is guest or honorary authorship. Other individuals who have participated in creating the research paper but who do not meet the criteria for authorship should be listed in the acknowledgments section with a brief indication of the nature of their contribution.
All contributors who do not meet the criteria for authorship should be listed in the Acknowledgements section.
9. Declaration of Conflicting Interests
We require a declaration of conflicting interests from all authors. Please ensure that a Declaration of Conflicting Interests statement is included at the end of your manuscript. If no conflict exists, please state The Author(s) declare(s) there is no conflict of interest.
10. Manuscript Submission Guidelines:
10.1. Aims & Scope. Before submitting your manuscript to FIBERS & TEXTILES in Eastern Europe, please ensure that it is within the thematic range of the journal. The papers should concern scientific issues of fibre-grade polymers, biopolymers, fibres, textiles, and fibrous products including paper-pulp and paper, issues related to investigation into the production and application of the above-mentioned products, as well as issues related to the economics of fibres and textiles, and the fibre & textile world market.

10.3. Preparing your Manuscript:
10.3.1. Volume of a Manuscript submitted should not exceed 11 standard journal pages (6300 characters/page), including tables, figures and photographs. The Editors reserve the right to shorten the article, if necessary as well as to alter the titles.
10.3.2. Title of a Manuscript should not exceed 120 characters.
10.3.3. Full Names and Surnames of the Authors, as well as full names of the authors’ affiliation – faculty, department, university, institute, company, town and country should be clearly given. Corresponding author should be indicated, and their e-mail address provided.
10.3.4. Abstract of a Manuscript should be no longer than 150 words.
10.3.5. Key-words should be within 4-6 items.
10.3.6. For papers translated from Polish, the authors are requested to submit a copy with a title, abstract and key words in Polish.
10.3.7. SI units should be used throughout.
10.3.8. Abbreviations should be used according to IUPAC and ISO standards and defined when first used.
10.3.9. Figures and Illustrations with a corresponding title and legend should be numbered consecutively (with Arabic numerals) and must be referred in the text. Photographs should be numbered as Figures. Additionally, Figures should be supplied as a separate file saved as PDF, JPG or TIF of 300 dpi minimum. Type size in the description of axes should be proportional to the size of the Figure. All Figures must be send in editable form.
10.3.10. Tables with a corresponding title and optional legend should be numbered consecutively and must be referred in the text.
10.3.11. Acknowledgements may be included and should be placed after Conclusions and before References section.
10.3.12. Footnotes should be avoided. When their use is absolutely necessary, they should be numbered consecutively using Arabic numerals and appended at the end of the manuscript.
10.3.13. Reference Style. Referencesshould be cited consecutively in order of appearance in the text, using numbers in square brackets, according to the Vancouver system.
