Abstract:

A new, fast, precise and method of evaluating the homogeneity of a fabric’s structure which is not destructive has been devised. In this article, the new method was tested on denim fabrics. The basis for evaluating the homogeneity of a fabric’s structure is the homogeneity of the weft coat on the left side of the fabric, and the diameter homogeneity of the weft and warp yarn. Our investigation covered five fabrics with structural disturbances and one model fabric.
