Abstract: A spectroscopic method of determining cellulose content in cotton blends has been described. It is part of a wider project to develop spectroscopic methods of analysing textile blends. The method does not require using hazardous high-quality chemicals or time-consuming preparatory work and it reduces the time needed to determine the content to barely a few minutes.
