Full text | Abstract: A literature review relating to problems connected with the evaluation of the fatigue strength of materials was carried out concerning appropriate probabilistic models. It was found out that fatigue strength could be described by the following distributions: exponential, Weibull’s, normal, Gumbel’s, Ferecht’s, Reyleight’s, Gamma and log-normal. However, for modeling the problems of fatigue strength durability of textile materials, probabilistic models based on Weibull’s theory and those based on the log-normal distribution seem to be most useful. The considerations presented also proved that many factors, mainly the kind of material used, the length of fibers in the assembly, the evenness of the thickness of the yarn and the system of spinning, influenced the fatigue strength of linear textile articles. |
