Abstract: Investigations are presented regarding the preparation of a complex dressing material on the basis of three biopolymers: chitosan, sodium alginate and sodium-calcium alginate with the addition of an analgesic. The dressing was prepared in the form of a film. Mechanical-, sorption- and imbibition properties of the film were tested and assessed. Investigation into the speed of delivery of the drug used as the acceptor fluid indicate that the process can be described with a complex kinetic equation of first order with two exponential functions.
