Simultaneous Dyeing and Antibacterial Finishing of Nylon Fabric Using Acid Dyes and Colloidal Nanosilver

 Full text | references | Abstract: The simultaneous finishing and dyeing of nylon fabric were investigated through exhaustion using acid dye and colloidal silver nanoparticles to obtain colored nylon with antimicrobial properties. The antimicrobial property of the fabrics was evaluated against two pathogenic bacteria including E. coli and S. aureus. The durability of antibacterial properties and the colour coordination of the fabrics treated against washing were investigated. In addition, some properties of the fabrics treated, including the surface morphology, and XRD and EDX diagrams were reported and discussed. |
