Full text | Abstract: An investigation was made of the effect of the basic parameters of the process of production of nanocomposite calcium alginate fibres containing silica and bioglass as nanoadditives. An analysis was made of the rheological properties of solutions, as well as of the porous and supramolecular structure and sorptive and strength properties of the fibres. The nanocomposite fibres obtained, depending on the as-spun draw ratio, achieved a tenacity of 19 – 22 cN/tex (in the case of nanosilica) and 16 – 24 cN/tex (in the case of bioglass). Both
types of fibre have high sorptive properties and a high water retention value. |
