The application of supply chain management in the Indian textile supply chain is in its nascent stage. Supply chain collaboration in the textile supply chain has emerged as a dominant theme in supply chain management and it paves the way for competitive advantage. This study gives a brief scenario of the textile industry across the globe. It tries to identify the factors influencing supply chain collaboration and its relationship with competitive advantage. The study includes 235 supply chain partners of the textile industry of Tamil Nadu. The Visual PLS Software package and SPSS (Statistical package for social science – 16.0) were used for analysis. Structural equation modelling was used to prove the thesis along with a reliability analysis. The result shows a positive relationship between supply chain collaboration and competitive advantage among supply chain partners. |
