 Full text | Abstract: The aim of this study was to evaluate the energy consumption, in general, for ring type yarn manufacturing systems and to examine the energy consumption in a chosen spinning mill by considering the available data including installed power, monthly and yearly energy usage. A simple theoretical approach for predicting the specific energy consumption in a particular yarn type produced in chosen spinning mill was developed. The results obtained by applying this model to a specific yarn was compared with the relevant values available in the literature. |
